The Connect Cuba campaign is wholly dedicated to provide Cuban civil society with the technology they need to communicate and share information with the world. Although this kind of technology, which includes personal computers, laptops, DVD burners and flash memories, is rather costly, it has not prevented us from pursuing our mission to connect the Cuban people.
During the period from January 1st 2013 to June 30th 2014, the FHRC has sent members of Cuba’s civil society:
- $107,251 in electronic equipment
- $173,584 in cell phone minutes
- $398,142 in financial aid
Hundreds of Cubans have already benefited from our efforts, but our mission is far from finished. We will not end until every Cuban is connected to the rest of the world.
