The Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FHRC) is a nonprofit organization that has been working since 1992 to help promote a peaceful transition to a democratic society in Cuba where violations of human rights are simply not tolerated. This is a foundation for social change Cuba citizens trust and look to for assistance in a wide range of issues. Over the years, FHRC has run several key campaigns and has been able to partner with other Cuban foundations for social change to broaden its influence and accomplish more important work.
FHRC is the kind of foundation for social change Cuba really needs and benefits from on a daily basis. From helping support families of prisoners of conscious to partnering with the Ladies in White to the hosting of children’s parties to promoting awareness and gaining support for major issues facing Cubans. FHRC is proud to be able to help in any way possible and looks forward to continued success and progress.
One of FHRC’s current campaigns revolves around making the use and freedom of the Internet a reality in Cuba and is called Connect Cuba. The campaign is combining awareness, financial support and an important petition in order to pressure the Cuban government to give more access and greater freedom to Cubans wanting to utilize the Internet. For more information about this campaign and to get involved check out the Connect Cuba website! You can be a part of this campaign by signing this important petition right online, spreading the word to your friends and family, donating or shopping for the cause.
