Cuba 3.0
This project will develop a series of conferences design under Ted Talks patterns as well as two annual competitions (The Ten Best Ideas to XXX) among Cuban change-makers. The goal of the conferences as well as of the competitions is to find participatory, creative solutions to present social and economic challenges faced by Cuban society. Participants in the island will be encouraged to partner with Cubans in the Diaspora to produce innovative ideas to address relevant issues such as the construction of affordable homes, increasing food productions, improving educational and health services and many others. Besides extending monetary prizes ($700 & $300) to the best two ideas presented to the contest, a collection of the best ten ideas sent to each competition (“Ten best ideas for housing development in Cuba”, for example) will be compiled in digital books for wide dissemination within Cuba and abroad.
