As published in Diario de Cuba, yesterday, “the President of the United States, Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry met with a group of Cuban dissidents at the headquarters of the US Embassy in Havana.”

The Spanish daily mentioned that, “at the meeting, held after Obama spoke directly to the Cuban people from the Gran Teatro de La Habana, attendees included the leader of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU), Jose Daniel Ferrer, the director of Estado de SATS, Antonio G. Rodiles, the blogger Miriam Celaya, Sakharov Prize winner Guillermo Fariñas, lawyer and head of the Cubalex organization, Laritza Diversent, Arco Progresista party leader, Manuel Cuesta Morua, the leader of the Ladies in White, Berta Soler, the spokesman for the Cuban Commission for Human Rights and National Reconciliation (CCDHRN), Elizardo Sanchez, the director of the magazine “Coexistence”, Dagoberto Valdes and dissident Miriam Leyva.”

Diario also mentions that “Yunier Angel Remon, Juana Mora Cedeno, and Nelson Alvarez Matute” attended the meeting.
