As reported in Diario de Cuba, “after several days of complaints from users, the state telecommunications monopoly (ETECSA) admitted on Tuesday to ‘irregularities’ in their e-mail service.”
In a note published in government run Cuban media, ETECSA claimed “the problems were due to a technical failure in the supporting infrastructure which occurred on Friday night to nauta and enet e-mail accounts.”
Diaro mentioned that “ETECSA customers complained in recent days of constant problems with e-mail services and the lack of explanation by the company and its employees at so-called ‘telepoints'”.
