On December 10, 1948, the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the first global document to ever articulate and promote a list of fundamental human rights and freedoms to which men, women and children all over the world are entitled.  Since this day, December 10 has served as Human Rights day worldwide.Human Rights Day presents an opportunity, every year, to celebrate human rights, highlight a specific issue, and advocate for the full enjoyment of all human rights by everyone everywhere.

FHRC celebrates this day as a reminder that we must stand up and advocate for the full enjoyment of all human rights by everyone everywhere.
