According to a recent Martí News article “Activists and independent journalists who report on Twitter from their cell phones , have found in recent weeks that their tweets have never been published anywhere , even though the Telecommunications Company of Cuba (ETECSA ) charge them for the service.”
In addition, “among those affected to date is Cuban blogger Yoani Sánchez , human rights activist Elsa Morejon, dissident Oscar Elias Biscet and independent journalists Guillermo “Coco” Fariñas Hernandez and Roberto de Jesús Guerra Pérez , who reported it from their Twitter accounts when they have been able to enter a cybercafe .”
The report went on to mention a statement from Morejon who “feels ‘cheated’ and holds Cuban owned company ETECSA responsible.”
